Jagga Jasoos - A bit of magic

This is really first of its kind Bollywood has come up with , a fun musical, mystery like the Tintin comics and a bit of inspiration from Satyajit Ray's work of fantasy. Loved the fantasy and musical element to it. Yes overall the movie could have been a bit tighter but for a new experiment its worth viewing. Right from Naxalites to International Terrorism every anti society issue has been dealt with. The movie rests on the shoulders of Ranbir Kapoor and he definitely brings in the freshness to the character. Katrina Kaif is not bad and she looks great as always. Saswata Chatterjee is very adorable and delivers a fine performance. Saurabh Shukla is strictly ok. Cinematography is supreme. Anurag Basu has put in lot of efforts and its visible, hope for everyone's efforts the movie does well commercially. There's something magical about the movie and I quite liked it. Recommended :)

Spider-Man: Homecoming - Entertaining

When I watched Captain America last year I thought Marvel was losing it but they have really bounced back with much needed energy and freshness in this one. Loved the new Spiderman - Tom Holland the new kid on the block is really cool and quite a charmer at that. The story is quite gripping and the source of negative energy Vulture aka Michael Keaton is quite interesting as well. And of course it is great to watch Robert Downey Junior. Marisa Tomei as May Parker is super cool. Great fun ride but personally my favorite Spiderman movie would be the Toby Maguire one - 2002 release. Its absolutely ok to fail but more important to bounce back after the failure. Recommended

Mom - Hard Hitting movie with superlative performances

300th movie of Sridevi ought to be special and this one is in every way be it the sensitive subject or the superlative performance by her,she definitely is the lifeline of the movie. Since God cannot be everywhere, He created Mother and the movie lives upto this saying and more. The film is hard-hitting and got a heart wrenching story, outstanding job by debutante director Ravi Udyawar indeed. Nawazuddin Siddiqui come up with yet again an awesome performance. Akshaye Khanna is very good wonder why we don't see him often. The other two actors who are really good are Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali. The outstanding scenes for me are the scenes between Sridevi and Nawazuddin ,the climax and the scene when Sridevi breaks down when she sees her daughter in the hospital, just brilliant. Definitely a powerhouse that reflects the horrors of the society we live in today and the world still remains unsafe for women. Absolutely recommended.

Baby Driver - Uber cool

Super stylish crime and heist movie, fast paced enough to keep you on the edge of your seat :) I am not letting the story out it won't be fair :) All I can say is the plot is intriguing and unpredictable and really exceptional. The cast is impeccable and everyone of them is superb - Ansel Elgort,Kevin Spacey,Jamie Foxx,Jon Hamm,Jon Bernthal,Eiza González,Lily James. Director Edgar Wright has surpassed all his earlier directed movies with this one. A slick smart movie with great music, action and humor,a movie not to be missed of course :) Recommended

The Big Sick - Hilarious yet poignant

Loved this romantic comedy as cliched it might sound this one comes really with a fresh whiff of air. Love knows no boundaries cultural differences might come up but the matters of heart are much above the cultural differences. Unity does lie in diversity, the mind has to be open for acceptance and the rest is take care of :) The best part of this movie is that it deals with deeply serious complex issues, but does so with humor and grace. The movie is based on a real relationship story of Kumail Nanjiani played by himself and his wife Emily played by Zoe Kazan and both of them have done a superb job. Rest of the cast comprising of Holly Hunter,Ray Romano,Anupam Kher , Zenobia Shroff, Adeel Akhtar,Bo Burnham, Aidy Bryant, Kurt Braunohler, and David Alan Grier are just fabulous and brings in the much needed depth the story needed. An absolute treat of a romantic comedy, hilarious yet poignant,a must watch :) Recommended :)
